friday favorites: creativity and social media progress

Hey, hey sweet friends!

Friday has arrived and I’m linking up with Erika to share a few of my favorites from the week.

I was introduced to the Canva app and I am loving it. The graphics are so much more fun than my random photos or default backgrounds. I’ve created a couple of my own graphics for some verses that I have loved this week.

What do you think? Are they better than what I usually share? And just how do you like my Friday Favorites graphic?

I finally finished the fifth book of Karen Kingsbury’s the Redemption series. I cried through a lot of this one, but it was worth the tears. I think I’m going to have to keep following along with the Baxter family in her sequel series.

I received an email this week informing me that I had put 400 miles on my running shoes and that it was time to consider purchasing a new pair. Apparently, running shoes are good for 300-500 miles. It was this time last year that I purchased them. So that means that I logged 400 miles in the past year - that works out to be more than one mile a day on average! Truly, it is only by the grace of God that I was able to do such a thing.

Lastly, I have really grown a lot the last couple of weeks on Instagram. I have learned tons about posting quality photos, hashtags, follow trains, and more. I’ve met some really wonderful people that I share so many things in common with. That being said, I am really trying to post more and share more of what’s happening throughout the week on IG. I recap those wonderful things here on Fridays, but it’s just a snippet of our chaos. If you’re not already following me, I’d love for you too. I even posted my first video this past week with an audio guided tour of our small garden. Check it out here

Well, I think that about wraps it up. Happy Friday to each of you!

  2. I love your Friday Favorites graphic. I've been using Canva for my blog posts and love it. That is where I made my Five on Friday graphic. Good for you for your running milestone. That sounds crazy to me....running for fun?! Have a great weekend!

  3. Where did you learn about IG and hashtags and follow trains? I need a lesson or two. Have really gotten away from social media but I think it is important to help grow your readership and circle of friends. Glad to be following you on IG and here!!
