Hey there, Lovelies. I am so thankful for weekends. I truly love being a keeper of the home. I know that sometimes, okay - a lot of times, all of the chores can seem so overwhelming, but I really do love every bit of it. I am so thankful to God for all of His many blessings.
I am also incredibly thankful for my mother-in-law and sister-in-law, who graciously spent their Saturday evening with our kiddos so that we could have a date night. Just look how excited I am for our evening out, just the two of us.
Since fashion success doesn't happen very often for me, let's take a quick time out from the evening details and discuss just how stylish I was feeling.
I absolutely love my Flannel Plaid Relaxed Boyfriend shirt from the Gap. I paired it with my Straight Leg Levi's Jeans and Classic Leather Ballet Flats. I just started carrying the Thirty-One Townsfair Reversible Tote and I love love love it. I know that it clashes a bit with the plaid shirt, but I kind of like the way that it does. What do you think of my style?
Okay, back to date night. We headed out to our favorite restaurant, Chili's. I stuck with my usual, the Cajun Pasta with Shrimp, but then splurged on the Skillet Chocolate Chip Cookie. It was oh so good.
And what date night wouldn't be complete without a trip to Rural King for some tools and Walmart for a few groceries?
Did I happen to mention that I felt pretty well rested on Saturday? It may have been because I slept almost eleven hours on Friday night. I am such a wild woman - I was in bed and asleep by 8:30 pm. Little J was helping Daddy in the barn, so when Little L crashed, I was right behind him.
I finished reading The List by Karin Tanabe. I thought it was pretty good! It would not make my Top 10 or anything, but it was an easy, intriguing read. I will admit that I started it a couple of times before finally committing, but I'm glad I did.
Our church's homecoming was this Sunday. We had dinner after the morning service, and the kids had the pleasure of spending a little time on a couple of jumpolines. Little J loves them and seriously had the best time. Little L fell asleep shortly after we finished eating, so I was able to chat with some of my favorite ladies without interruption!
Monday is my weigh-in day for Weight Watchers. I'm anxious to step on the scales and see if I've made any progress this past week. I was really focused during the week, so I'm hoping to see some loss even though I splurged over the weekend.
Well, that pretty much wraps up my weekend shenanigans. What did you get into?!

That cookie looks so good! I need more flannel. I used to have so many more but got rid of different pieces for various reasons, or left a ton in Minnesota.
ReplyDeleteNothing wrong with going to be early on the weekends haha! They're the time to catch up on sleep! (at least that's what I tell myself!)

You had such a busy weekend!! I love you flannel top as well. It's so cute. Everytime I go to Chilis I have to get that desert as well. It's not a chilis date night without it. Happy Monday ♥
ReplyDeleteAll the best with your weigh-in. It's not all about the scale though - as long as you had great time, it's worth it :-)

I actually love the way you bag looks with the shirt. That bag is such a stunner that it doesn't make sense to attempt to tone it down....also, 8:30 is my dream bed time.
