friday favorites: my first in 2020

Happy Friday, Sweet Friends!

Today I'm linking up with some lovely ladies and sharing my favorites from the week.

My azaleas are blooming and my first rose of the season appeared. Red is my absolute favorite.

After an entire month, my potatoes finally started to peek through the ground. I was so relieved because I was ready to give up on them and start over. My Little Farmers and I did manage to get a few rows of corn and beans planted on Sunday before the rains came. Really hoping we didn't jump the gun - it's supposed to get cold some over the next several days.

My dentist started seeing patients again this week. So, I put on real clothes and made a trip to town. I wore my mask even though I kept touching it too much. I was relieved that the tooth I thought had been causing me discomfort wasn't the culprit after all. Which meant my dentist started a root canal and didn't have to pull a tooth.Who'd ever think I'd be thankful for a root canal??

It's calving season and sometimes these little babies need a bit of help from Little Farmers.

I read this verse during my morning devotional and I picked up on a couple of things I hadn't before. The verse says "according to his will." Lately, I admit I haven't done an awesome job including that piece in my prayers. The verse also says "he heareth us." I realize it doesn't say that He answers us, only that He hears us.

We seriously have the best cat ever. Her name is Cricket and she is an expert mouser. She follows my Little Farmers around wherever they go - kind of like a puppy. Since we've been home, we've let her inside some and she loves it.

I started blogging again. You can check out my prodigal return post here. I also shared 10 of my favorite reads from my eighteen month sabbatical.

Oh, and I created my first story on Instagram!! If you saw it, keep in mind that I'm a novice - I will get better. I'm trying really hard to have more of a presence on IG and would love it if you'd follow me - @theclassychaosblog

Now, I'm looking forward to a quiet weekend with lots of sunshine.

Happy Weekend!

    1. My dentist knows we have a very strong love/hate relationship. Lol. I'm usually good to reschedule half a dozen times before I get the nerve to show up for my cleaning!
