Last Friday, my forever friend and I embarked on another Mom’s Day Out. Only this time, we stayed overnight. We left our husbands and our kids and went wild and crazy at the Cheesecake Factory, the Gap, and the Paper Source. No joke, we were in our beds by 8:30 and asleep by 10:00. What are two moms to do when they have just themselves to worry about? Sleep. We had the best time and I cannot wait to do it again next quarter.
I finally fixed my email notifications for comments. I had to go into the settings, remove my email, save it and then re-enter it again. Now it works perfectly. It was driving me crazy that I couldn’t respond to them by email. Please forgive me if you left me a comment and didn’t get a proper response, that’s why.
In case you missed it, I’ve embarked on a new journey. I’m motivated to eat better, drink better and exercise. I’ve done really well so far this week. Now, let’s hope it lasts. Check out the post sharing my game plan here. My biggest struggle has been finding time to do the Couch to 5k. I managed to get it in once, but that’s it. The evenings have just been chaos. I’m hoping to do Day 2 and Day 3 Friday and Sunday. I won't be deterred!
And thank you for all those who shared their support, encouragement, and advice! And if you decided to join me, let me know. #operationnomorefattyboop
Well Friends, I must get ready for work. We've got a fairly low key weekend ahead and for that I am thankful. We do have one thing on our agenda and that's football camp. My Oldest Little Farmer is super excited. This will be his first experience with the sport. I'm terrified. Eek! Happy Weekends!

ReplyDeleteGirl time is much needed time and this looks like y'all had a blast. Good for you! Happy weekend! XO
ReplyDeleteThat looks so yummy! One of my student teachers used to manage the Cheesecake Factory, and so I got a lot of free meals and dessert! Oh how I miss those days! Glad you had a fun time, and good luck with kicking butt this next week!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like such a restful getaway with your friend! I have always wanted to go to a Paper Source!
ReplyDeleteI love the couch to 5k program. I did it about a year ago and should try it again after surgery. That meal looks amazing!!!
