the ollie swaddle

My Littlest Farmer has loved being swaddled from day one. I truly believe that the nurses in the hospital have a special skill when it comes to swaddling newborns. I'm pretty sure it sets the tone for them wanting that same feeling from that point forward. And I cannot for the life of me, even after having baby #3, mimic a nurse's swaddling skills.

So, in order to compensate for my inept swaddling abilities, I used the Halo Sleepsack Swaddle with all three of my children. But only with my third did I become aware of the Ollie Swaddle. Have you heard of it? I hadn't heard of it until recently, but am so glad that I did. So, without further ado, let me introduce you to my Littlest Farmer's favorite swaddle for daytime naps.

The Ollie Swaddle is maybe the softest material I have ever felt - I'd like a swaddle of my own made of this amazing material. More importantly than how it feels is how it functions to keep your baby from becoming too hot. It's made from custom moisture-wicking material that reduces the risk of overheating. Plus, it's pretty... I have the Meadow style and it is so beautiful. There are several other styles to choose from on TheOllieWorld.com.

I not only love how the Ollie Swaddle feels, I love how easy it is to use. I simply wrap my Littlest Farmer inside. I do not have to mess with putting his arms through any holes nor am I fulling with any zippers. It's a very simple wrap and velcro process. The bottom is even a hook and loop closure - like pulling my hair into a ponytail.

I like that it's a one size fits all swaddle. As my Littlest Farmer grows, I'm not concerned with ensuring his swaddle is properly fitted. The Ollie Swaddle adjusts as my baby grows. The velcro patches are large enough to accommodate a newborn and my little handsome three month old. And will continue to until he is ready to no longer be swaddled. Even then, he can still use the Ollie Swaddle with his arms outside of the swaddle.

I did receive the Ollie Swaddle compliments of The Ollie World. My swaddle arrived in this beautiful keepsake box and included a mesh bag for laundering in order to protect it. The instructions on how to use the swaddle were on the back of the box and are incredibly easy to understand and follow. If you're a new mama or an expectant mama, I recommend visiting The Ollie World and learning more about the Ollie Swaddle. I know you'll love it as much as I do!

  1. As someone who doesn't have kids, swaddles are so interesting because I don't understand why they like sleeping like that, haha! This sounds like it would make a great gift though! I will remember this because I have a couple friends expecting!!
