friday favorites: a little kate spade, a good book and elf shenanigans

Happy Friday, Friends!

I seriously contemplated skipping this post today, but instead decided to be uber short and sweet. It's been a bit of a crazy week, plus my middle Little Farmer has a stomach bug. Thankfully, he appears to be on the mend. Praying now the remaining four of us are spared.

1 << I'm hoping to do a book recap soon, but until then, I have to share maybe one of the best books I've read in awhile - It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover. I seriously didn't want to put it down from beginning to end. This needs to be next on your list if you haven't read it already.

2 << A few weeks back, I mentioned that I'd started using Mercari. I've actually sold a few things and decided to use my earnings on a new pair of Kate Spade Sunglasses. Yay! This is just one of those things I would never pay retail price for. If you're interested in signing up, feel free to use my referral code: ZEQURT. You'll get $10 off your first purchase.

3 << I totally forgot to move Jack one night and my unsuspecting oldest Little Farmer covered for me. He basically said that sometimes he just returns from the North Pole and goes back to the same spot. I tried to add to it by saying he just really liked sitting on that tractor. I did manage a couple of other fun ones to make up for it. I borrowed the minion bananas from Della, and the pee one was my own and came after a bathroom cleaning. Haha.

4 << On Monday, I saw a photo of myself taken at the baby shower I went to last weekend and was disgusted. I'm a cow. Or at least I feel like one in that photo. So, on Tuesday I decided to make a change - let #operationnomorefattyboop commence! I really don't want to pay for WW again, so I started using ProTracker. It's basically the older version of WW, but it's free and I'm used to that version anyway. I like using this app because it has a nursing mode. This is day four and I already feel skinnier. The caffeine headaches are a real bear though!

5 << ICYMI - I shared earlier in the week a friendly PSA regarding an infant's hands and four reasons why I absolutely love my DockATot.

Aside from a basketball game and church, our weekend is looking pretty calm. I'm hoping to finish addressing our Christmas cards and get started on some shopping. Anyone else not started yet? Eek!

Have wonderful weekends!

  1. How awesome of your oldest farmer to cover for you with the Elf not being moved, so sweet of him! But ooooh no to your middle farmer, that is hands down the worst sickness and the one that freaks me out the most. Praying the rest of you are spared, and enjoy the fun weekend <3

  5. I am so happy that I never got into the Elf on the Shelf with my kids. Although it looks fun, it's way too much pressure! Ha! Do not call yourself a cow. Umm, hello, you just had a baby!!! Give yourself some credit! I'm glad that I"m not the only one who hasn't started Christmas shopping and gotten my cards out. For some reason, this month is rushing by. And I know I commented on your Insta but I loved It Ends With Us. One of my favorites by Hoover! Have a great weekend!

  9. It Ends With Us, was such a good book. It's one that you can't help but keep thinking about long after it's over.

  10. Happy weekend! I hope your guy is on the mend! That book looks like a really good read! Also, I'm sure that you do not in fact look like a cow, but I also want to encourage you and give you a great big high five for working on being proactive about being healthy after baby! It can be so hard! Sending you lots of love! <3

  11. Good for you on taking charge of your health. That is what I did after having the girls too. I really want to read that book. It looks good. Love those Kate Spade sunnies that you got. So many good things here.

  12. Adding that book to my list, it's been recommended so much lately! Yes to the PSA! My mom has trained me to always wash my hands in front of new parents no matter what time of year it is. I will definitely remind people when I have children too.
