let there be cake and books and planners

Happy Friday, Friends!

I hope this past week has been good to you. As usual, I'm linking up with lots of other sweet bloggers and sharing a few of my favorites from the week.

1 >> We celebrated my birthday! Let me tell you... this girl is blessed beyond all measure. My family made a scrumptious dinner, I had two different cakes, and my two older farmers gifted me every special toy they had. I even received a #1 brother trophy - melt my heart.

And ICYMI, I shared earlier in the week what's currently on my wish list.

2 >> I picked up some new reads in my monthly library haul. Since I didn't get to read as much as I'd hoped last month, there are some repeats in the stack. I want to read The Soldier's Wife first and then I'm open to suggestions. Secrets in Summer sounds really good. Has anyone read it?

3 >> I've made a little time to play with my 2018 Planner this week, and I am loving it so far. If you've never tried a paper planner before, I highly recommend Erin Condren. I love the full month spread and then the weekly spread as well. Plus, there are additional blank pages for the things that apply to the whole year. Not to mention, it's just pretty and FUN.

4 >> Speaking of planners... we have a giveaway winner! Congrats to Katrina B. for winning the 2018 EC Hardbound Planner in Black. I received it this week and will be shipping it out shortly. Isn't it a beauty?! Thank you to everyone who entered and welcome new readers!

5 >> I've been purging. I'm going through my ridiculous amount of clothing and am sorting by what's going to charity, what I'm trying to sell and the things I'll keep. I am using Mercari to list my items and am thrilled to report that I've actually sold a couple of things already. I still have tons to go through, but it's a start.

If you're looking for an outlet to sell some of your things, feel free to use my referral code: ZEQURT and receive $10 off your first purchase. If you want to check out my listings, head over here. I'm adding a little bit every day.

Well, that about wraps up my week. We should have a pretty low key weekend unless we decide to throw my oldest farmer a birthday party on the fly... I promise the EC planners work! Ha. In this case, the party is weather dependent since he wants a bonfire.

Oh, and I shared his birthday wish list on Monday - what to buy a 7 year old

Happy Weekends! And let the Hallmark movie binging begin.

  3. Happy belated birthday! I am glad you are celebrated dear friend! My birthday is this weekend - I am the forgotten member of the household with a birthday so it will be just another day. No worries, I get used to it more and more. What's the fee to sell on that app? I just do consignment shops for my clothing that I want to move on. Girl...I've had Hallmark on for three days LOL! Shhhh don't tell anyone! Happy weekend!

  6. Happy belated birthday! Sounds like you had a great day! The only books on your pile that I've read are Winter Garden which I really enjoyed and Crazy Rich Asians which I thought was just okay. Just One Day is on my to read list. Yeah for planners! I've never tried Erin Condren, but I really like my Happy Planner from Michaels. I'll have to get one soon for 2018. Have a great weekend!

  11. Happy birthday! That cake looks delicious! I'll have to check out Mercari. I've been using Poshmark to sell clothes but it's so hard to actually sell anything. People always offer WAY less than what I'm asking (I mean, I expect to negotiate, but people are ridiculous sometimes!)

  16. You can never have too much cake for your Birthday!! I'm a total sucker when it comes to planners. And I've heard Erin Conrad planners are one of the best. My husband bought me my Kate Spade zipper planner for my birthday earlier this year and it's my baby!
