Oh, Friends. I am so happy to see Friday arrive. It's been another chaotic week - with blazing hot weather to boot. I know I've been a little scarce the past few days, so let's welcome the weekend with a quick recap.
Well, that about sums it up. The weekend is shaping up to be a fairly relaxing one, which I could totally use. I WILL be making some yummy green beans, new potatoes and corn on the cob!
Hope your week has been awesome and the weekend that awaits you is even more fabulous!

FARMERS MARKET HAUL
I am super proud of my almost 1st grader. He's been spending his summer at Little L's daycare in the school age program, and they visit the farmers market a couple of blocks away on Thursdays. It's one of his favorite activities. So I thought this week I'd send him with money and he could buy some goodies for the family. Check out this haul!
BABY BUMP UPDATE
I know it's been forever since I've shared an updated baby bump, but the truth is I haven't taken any bump photos. It's amazing how things change from the first pregnancy to the third, huh? This bump is at 32 weeks. We did have an ultra sound this week and Baby is measuring in at 4 lbs 7 oz already. He or she looks great and we're getting excited to meet the newest member of the family! We're not even close to being prepared, but I made a list and we will get there.
HAY DAY
I absolutely love the smell of fresh cut hay. This past weekend, my Farmer mowed and baled one of our fields. The boys absolutely love to see the equipment at work and all of the bales on the ground. I suppose I think it's pretty cool too - I am loving these photos.
MY (NOT SO) PERFECT LIFE
Last week I asked for suggestions on what to read next and the overwhelming recommendation was Sophie Kinsella's My (Not So) Perfect Life. I am loving it so far, but I've kinda stalled on making progress with the hectic week that I've had - sleep won out every night. I'm hoping to get back to this over the weekend.
ALL THINGS
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God... This verse out of Romans 8:28 is maybe my absolute favorite verse and one I clung to this week.
NEVER AGAIN
I've been parking pretty far from the building for this reason alone, but one day I decided to be lazy and take up a spot by the door. Never again. This is NOT what a pregnant mama in her 8th month wants to come out to at the end of the day. I managed to get in, but it was with some smooth moves I tell ya.
NEW EXPERIENCES
I decided to go through Tim Horton's on Thursday morning to pick up a bagel. I wanted a drink, but wasn't sure what I wanted to get. Orange juice didn't sound good. I don't drink coffee. It was way too hot and humid for hot chocolate. And, I didn't want to waste my soda intake on Pepsi. So, I did what any pregnant girl would do, and I tried something totally different based solely on the menu picture - the Mixed Berry Fruit Smoothie. It was good. Not entirely sure I will get it again, but it did grow on me as I drank it... and I did drink all of it. These are healthy for you, right?Well, that about sums it up. The weekend is shaping up to be a fairly relaxing one, which I could totally use. I WILL be making some yummy green beans, new potatoes and corn on the cob!
Hope your week has been awesome and the weekend that awaits you is even more fabulous!

8 months pregnant and you look great- you're almost there! And a school that goes to the farmer's market- how fun! Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteWe are so close - panic inducing close! Ha. Hoping to get some things knocked off my list this week so that I can ease the anxiety of not really being ready for this baby! And yes, I love tat about his school - it is truly the best! Hope you've had a great weekend!

The Farmer's Market is the best! Love having fresh fruit and veggies this time of year. Have a wonderful & relaxing weekend!
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful! Love the baling pics, and that verse (and the graphic) is so comforting. ❤ Hope you have a fantastic weekend!
ReplyDeleteIt's so sweet that he came back with that farmer's market haul! And your belly is so cute.
ReplyDeleteLookin' good Mama!!! I LOVE the smell of baling hay and harvesting wheat and barley. I wish they could make a candle for those smells because they are amazing. I hope you have a great weekend and that book is so good!
ReplyDeleteThat farmer's market is haul is just one of the cutest things ever. What a great job!!! You and your baby bump are darling!❤️ That parking job...UGH. So the spaces out her in CA are all made for Prius cars and are super tiny, add in a state full of people who drive like it's a go cart track and well, you get the picture. My car doors are taking a beating.😠Have a wonderful weekend, cute little mama!
ReplyDeleteWow! What a great farmer's market haul! Our farmer's market is super expensive and they never have anything good. I hate it when people park super close like that! I drive an SUV so I typically just park in the back just because of that reason, but it is nice to park close once in a while! Hope you have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI was shocked at how well he did and the quality of what he picked out. I only sent him with $20 too! I will definitely be sticking with the original park as far away as I can plan, ha!
DeleteHappy Friday! He did great with his farmer's market finds. Aww yay for a bump pic. I ended up taking more with my second because I regretted not taking more of my first pregnancy lol. I love the scripture reminder. I hope you have a great weekend! Beautifully Candid
ReplyDeleteI'll be 32 weeks on Sunday, too! I can't believe how quickly babies grow at the end!
ReplyDeleteFarmer's markets are definitely one of the highlights of summer!! Enjoy all that vegetable goodness!
ReplyDeleteI'm so proud of your kiddo for his haul! I don't think my husband would be able to pick out decent stuff at the market! LOL! You look adorable and awesome for a 3rd kid! Enjoy every smoothie you want- you deserve it! Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteYou look so cute! Have a COOL weekend!
ReplyDeleteWhoa your son did extremely well!!! He can make my Farmer's Market runs for me! Look at you! Still carrying a little high? I want to make guesses as to what you are having but I'll keep those to myself. We have that same blue Ford tractor! XO
ReplyDeleteHe did do well! I was so proud. And you totally should make guesses! I'm going to try to do a post on old wives tales and see what fun that brings the closer we get to the big day. :)
DeleteWow! How awesome that your first grader got all of those goodies at the market!!
ReplyDeleteI love farmer markets! So great in the summer. You look so amazing!! Almost time, how exciting.
ReplyDeleteI love Sophia Kinsella books. I can't believe you are 32 weeks already. Are you planning on having guest posters have the baby is born?
