my weekend went missing + giveaway winner + 20% discount

Hey there, Lovelies. I think I need to a file a report - a missing weekend report. I feel like the weekend stopped by for a few moments and then completely disappeared. What's even more peculiar is that I have nothing overly exciting to share that might explain it's little vanishing act. Truthfully, it's been a fairly quiet weekend - my favorite.

I usually spend the majority of my Saturday tackling our laundry. Most Saturdays, I'm putting around eight loads through. Eight loads. Does that seem excessive to you? What's even more disturbing is that I've usually done up to three loads during the week.

Anyhow, I saw this meme and thought it couldn't be more true. As soon as I have an empty laundry basket, the boys start rolling in and the basket is almost full again with clothes from the day.

I did manage to switch out our Spring/Summer clothing with Fall/Winter clothing. No surprises when it came to the boys', but when it was my turn, I seriously felt like I'd hit the jackpot. I had lots more than I was expecting - lots of great color, comfy sweaters, cardigans and blouses. How could I not remember having all these amazing styles?

Aha! Then it finally occurred to me that last Fall/Winter, I had just given birth to Little L and wasn't able to wear any of my regular clothes. So basically, this year I have a like-new wardrobe that I haven't been able to wear for almost two years. Plus, I can wear things I haven't been able to since I've dropped almost twenty pounds. Cha-ching!

Hello sunshine! I was so giddy that Sunday arrived to the party with the sun as its date. I feel like we haven't seen the sun in days. Having the sun beat down on my light, pale skin was an instant mood lift. Bonus, my little restless boys loved being able to get outside to play too. We even took a long ride on our Big Red - a side by side four wheeler.

Just for fun, I took a look at the rest of the week. Isn't this close to perfect?

Sunday evening, our church had a wedding shower for a couple that will be getting married later this month. I love these kinds of parties - baby showers and wedding showers - they bring so much joy, even if I never win any of the shower games.

Well, that all changed with this one! Would you believe I tied with another on the first game and then for the second game, my team made the best toilet paper dress? (I'm disappointed I didn't think to snap a picture of our awesomeness.) Check out my prizes!

I love these gifts - very unique and incredibly classy. And then, I just love what they are. I was in desperate need of new polish, and I can always use some help in the make-up department. Yay! It's the little things... seriously.

Last of all, the close of the weekend brought the close of the giveaway. I want to say thank you to each and everyone that entered and stopped by to say hi to both Jill and myself. I most definitely deem it a success! And to celebrate that success, Jill is offering a 20% discount for planners purchased between now and end of day October 9th. Just use the code: CLASSYCHAOS20.

That's an awesome deal! Make sure you check out the review and head over to her shop, EYCStudio, to pick out your planner. I've been using mine for a week now, and I'm totally smitten. I left it at the office over the weekend, but will not be doing that again.

Now, drum roll please... the winner is: Betty Curran!! Congratulations, Betty! Be sure to check your email for details on how to choose your Planner.

Would love to hear about your weekend fun! And make it a great Monday!

  2. Looks like a majorly productive weekend, lady! I fed the laundry monster on Saturday, too. Only did three loads, but it felt like more. I need to do the closet switch, but I'm holding onto the last lil bit of summer!

  3. Sounds like it was a productive weekend! Great job on switching out your closets. I started doing that this weekend but didn't finish. Hoping to finish it this week. However, the weather is suppose to be warmer so I will still need some of my summer clothing. I totally hate doing laundry. I wish I could send it all out. haha

  5. You just got me really excited about switching out my clothes, too… it hadn't dawned on me how many "new" things I would have to wear since I was pregnant last winter! So happy to see some sun in our forecast finally, too. Hope you have a great week!

  8. Weekends go by way too fast pretty much every weekend in my opinion! The few seconds when all the laundry is done are just heavenly :) I hated getting behind on laundry and have started doing at least one load a day and it has really helped!
